Did you ever notice the maze-like pattern on the roof when you passed by 4/F of Pommerenke Student Centre recently? The Labyrinth, a joint endeavour of the Office of Student Affairs and Chung Chi College, is the first-ever Labyrinth across universities. It is a resting place for mindful walking. Unlike a maze, there is only one path that serves as both the entrance and exit. You can focus on your breath, follow your footsteps, relax your mind and body, and allow your thoughts to settle. Entering the heart of the Labyrinth is an invitation to return to your inner self, to reconnect your body and mind, and to nurture your spirituality.
Office of Student Affairs and Chung Chi College cordially invite all students to attend the “Opening Ceremony of Labyrinth cum Labyrinth Walk”. The Opening Ceremony will be officiated by Professor Nick Rawlins, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kwan Mei Po, Head of Chung Chi College, and other representatives of OSA and CC College respectively. Participants can be the first to experience the Labyrinth under the guidance of CUHK alumnus Dr. Chi-Shan Lam (1998 MBChB, 2009 MACS), an anaesthesiologist and the Chairman of the Hong Kong Labyrinth Society. Amidst the busy academic life, allow yourself to slow down, unwind and re-connect with yourself and embrace the present moment.
